The RPG is set in the post-SQ6 period. This gets out squarely out of the way of Roger's previous adventures, just in case any of YOU were planning to try and muck with history. It also means we don't have to worry about preserving canonity too much. There is one thing I wanted to cover with you all regarding our beloved janitor. With regards to Roger's adventures, it is important to note this: as far as the galaxy at large is concerned, most of Roger's adventures DID NOT HAPPEN. The events of SQ2 are completely unknown to the galaxy. All anyone knows for sure is that someone was illegally mining Labion and enslaving the Pinkunz. No evidence remains of who exactly it was, since the control station went nuclear when it fell into the planet's atmosphere, and all the apemen are dead. That explosion is what brought the Pinkunz to the attention of the galaxy in the first place. THEY know about Vohaul AND Roger, but not their identities, so the names are meaningless to them. But the whole clone plot is unknown to anyone except Roger himself. He was there, after all. The events of SQ3 are known to Scumsoft, since they had to contend with our hero. However, saving a pair of software developers is hardly galaxy-shattering news, so nobody really knows or cares about it all. Except Elmo, maybe. And the Guys, but they're on some backwater planet nobody knows about. SQ4: This one doesn't really need explaining, does it? SQ5: Roger did, of course, save the galaxy again this time, and publicly so. However, he wound up becoming Starcon's scapegoat, who blamed him to prevent anyone from finding out about how their "golden boy" Quirk had been so corrupt right under their oblivious noses. So, if anyone even remembers that incident, they won't consider him a hero. SQ6: All Roger really did this time was save the life of his friend. Heroic, yes, but again, not huge news. Again, nobody really knows or cares. Except Stellar, of course. So, basically, as far as Roger Wilco is concerned... your average galaxy dweller will either A) not remember him, or B) remember him being the hero of the Star Generator fiasco. As for Roger himself, he's... around.
